SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BOARD

Surface Transportation Board Chairman Martin Oberman will hold a press conference regarding the agency’s decision on the proposed acquisition of Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCS) by Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (CP).  Chairman Oberman will deliver remarks, followed by a Q&A session with credentialed members of the press.  Reporters wishing to participate in-person or online must RSVP by 6:00PM ET today, March 14, indicating whether they will be participating in-person or online to: .  Once a method of participation is selected, it cannot be modified.

WHEN:  Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET.

WHERE:  The event will be held in-person in the Boardroom of the Board’s headquarters at 395 E Street SW, Washington, DC and online via Zoom.  Members of the media who wish to participate online will receive instructions after they RSVP.  Members of the media who have RSVP’d to participate in person will be required to present a valid government issued photo ID and pass through a metal detector the morning of the event.

The public may view the livestreamed event on the Board’s YouTube channel.  Members of the public will not be permitted to attend the press conference or ask questions during the Q&A session.
